Our colour team reproduces the supplied shades identically in large volumes. Using DATACOLOR spectrophotometers, we match colours across various gloss levels and from every angle.
Each month, nearly 1,800 shades are produced and checked under multiple lighting conditions.
Technological investments
In 2018, we invested in two state-of-the-art spectrophotometers, enabling us to produce Level 0 calibration cards, Level 1 standard cards, and, of course, Level 2 production cards, meeting the requirements of NCS Certified Level 2.
Shade application processes
We master various shade application processes to provide solutions tailored to your needs:
- Shade injection:
3 fully automatic injection lines (maximum format 72 × 102 cm) and 2 semi-automatic machines for smaller runs and special formats. - Shade coating:
3 coating machines capable of applying solvent- or water-based base paints onto paper or adhesive substrates, either full-surface or multi-strip. - Application:
Decorative, façade, or wood products. We use a wide range of techniques and tools to apply your products according to your process: spray gun, roller, spatula, trowel, wiped glove, sponge, etc.
For wood substrates, we use 0.45 mm sliced veneers in various species, depending on your requirements.

L’ATELIER is designed for all professionals in the paint industry: professional painters, decorators, architects, distributors, and more.
To simplify shade selection, the L’Atelier colour system features 950 shades organized into 9 themes (off-whites, greys, beiges, yellows, oranges, reds, purples, blues, and greens).
This colour system was created exclusively in partnership with the Union of Paint and Varnish Manufacturers. The shade formulations from this colour chart are now widely adopted.
