History

Edicolor was founded in the 1950s by the inventor of the colour depositing process, and was initially exclusively specialised in the production of colour charts. The company’s history is a succession of technical innovations, growth expansions and business network extensions. And recently…

Edicolor acquired the Imprimerie GUEUTIER printing plant, and upgraded 3 HEIDELBERG printing presses in the 2 following years.
The digital printing business was launched with a Nexpress 2500 printer.

Edicolor acquired MPS Sérigraphie, as the company’s line of business rapidly shifted towards digital printing.

Edicolor Print obtained the ISO 12647-2 certification; Imprim’Vert, PEFC and FSC certifications would follow thereafter.

Edicolor acquired a new Nexpress 3600 digital printing press, and launched its wide format UV ink printing/die-cutting business.

The company acquired a second SwissQPrint flatbed printer and a Fotoba reel cutting machine.

Edicolor replaced the Nexpress 2500 printing press by a 3300 SX model, and developed the Panchroma colour processing technology. The company purchased all of Colwell France’s equipments.

The company replaced its offset CTP equipment and acquired a TAU 330 digital printing press for narrow web printing and reel cutting tasks. Edicolor’s website has now undergone a complete overhaul, and provides an online quotation feature.
